Thank you for partnering with us! See the fruit of your giving and how you can sow into what God is growing at Arise in 2023!
Is he—quite safe? Safe? Who said anything about safe? Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you.
He’s quite good I tell you.
Ten years ago I went with a group of young people (half of which were teenagers) to respond to the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda, the strongest typhoon that had ever hit land. While helping the people we came across this little girl, Baby Jules. She was a year and a half old and weighed about 8 lbs. We weren’t sure if she was going to live, so I made the mayor’s wife sign a document that said it wasn’t my fault if she didn’t survive the 28 hour trip back to our island.
She did survive. She experienced the love of God in her life and she is now an 11 year old young lady. She is pictured here in the red shirt, holding one of the newest Arise kids, Angela. Angela is 6 and weighs about 15 pounds. She is now experiencing the love of God through Jules.

This is the God we serve. The good, good God that sends His people out to love others as He first loved us. This is discipleship making, that we walk with others in the love of Christ and teach them to be like Him more every day.
On Sunday night I am leaving with my 16 year old daughter Layla, to go back home to the Philippines for 2 weeks. We are going to minister to people in the slums in Manila and then to the poor on our island. We are going to demonstrate who Jesus is through the power of His Spirit, and preach the good news of the Kingdom of God. The sick are going to be healed. We’ve been seeing it. The lepers (outcasts) will be cleansed and restored. We’ve been seeing it. Demons will be sent away. We’ve seen it. The dead will be raised. We’ve come close to seeing it! (Send me an email if you want to hear the story). God is on the move. The Spirit of God is coming in power, so that Jesus is glorified. |
We are going to be in Manila for a week and then on our island of Mindoro for a week. We are praying that the Lord raises up a pastor in Payatas (and another in Calapan) that is hungry for the Kingdom of God and His presence. We are believing the Lord is going to reveal Himself through His signs and wonders in our midst. We are also praying to hold revival meetings in Payatas (Manila) and also in Calapan.
We were not able to preach the Gospel in Manila and on our island when we gave aid during covid due to the pandemic restrictions. Now that restrictions have been lifted, we are going to preach the Gospel in the coming weeks and invite the Holy Spirit to work His wonders, bringing salvation and transforming lives.
We would love for you to partner with us in this, and we would simply ask you to prayerfully consider what that partnership might look like. Thank you again and again for all that you do, may the Lord Jesus be glorified.

The hands and feet in ManilaPayatas is a barangay that was built around the dumpsite in Manila. I believe the spiritual landscape of this barangay of 500k people is about to change, and it is going to start with God calling a hungry pastor, transformed by the power and presence of the living God.
|
Calapan revivalWe will be holding daily services for the 200 people at the Lovelace Academy, where the students will be taught the Bible and trained to minister in the power of the Spirit.

Current Arise NeedsThe Lord has continued to provide for Arise Ministries and the Lovelace Academy in supernatural ways. We are so thankful to all of our supporters and sponsors over the years. In the last six weeks Arise Children’s Home has been able to take in five new children that were severely neglected, abandoned and/or malnourished.
